Shotgun Basics Course

Our Shotgun Basics Course is designed for new and intermediate shooters who want to master safe handling, proper operation, and effective shooting techniques with a shotgun. Whether you own a pump, semi-automatic, or break-action shotgun, this class will help you understand your firearm and improve your performance in both defensive and sporting applications.
Course Highlights:
Safe firearm handling and range procedures
Understanding shotgun types, gauges, and ammunition
Proper stance, grip, and recoil management
Loading, unloading, and clearing malfunctions
Patterning and zeroing for different shot types
Live-fire drills to build accuracy and confidence
Duration: 5 hours
Requirements: Eye and ear protection, shotgun (12 or 20 gauge recommended), 75 rounds of ammunition, and a positive attitude.
Prerequisite: None – beginners welcome.
Outcome:
By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge and confidence to safely operate and maintain their shotgun and perform accurate, controlled shooting under the guidance of certified instructors.
