Ridge Gunner Pack List
October 3-4, 2026
•Ensure your rifle/pistol optics are zeroed.
•Ensure your optics/ magnifiers are wired/tied down so you don’t lose them.
•You can run suppressors if you prefer.
CLOTHING:
-DO NOT GO AND BUY A BUNCH OF STUFF. Only what is necessary.
-Dress for comfort and functionality.
-Double check the weather and dress appropriately. Dress in layers if necessary.
-Pants need belt loops to hold your belt/ gear in place so you have a stabilized draw when utilizing your pistol/ pulling gear off your belt.
-Rain Gear/Poncho
-Extra set of clothes: shirt, pants, socks, shoes underwear and extra shoes in a trash bag or a wet weather bag.
WEAPONS LOAD-OUT:
•Carbine with 3 mags minimum
•Vest / plate carrier or Chest rig
•Helmet (if you have it and prefer)
•Rifle sling
•Optics/ Magnifiers / Iron sights / if you have them.
Note: you need manual back up / flip up sights if your batteries die in the field)
•Extra optic batteries
•Pistol with 3 mags minimum
•Pistol holster / mag carrier
•Pistol belt/ War belt setup (if you have it)
•Medical pouch / IFAK w/ Tourniquet (Individual First Aid Kit) (if you have it)
GEAR:
•Thick gloves for rappelling (if you have them)
•Knee pads if you prefer
•Elbow pads if you prefer
•Must have Eye protection (if you wear glasses / sunglasses during daytime that is acceptable)
•Must have hearing protection/ electronic ears work great.
•Must wear a good belt
•Gun oil (do not use dry oils like REM oil)
•Extra batteries for your optics/equipment
OVERNIGHT GEAR:
•Sleep system w/ pillow
•Tent
•Cooler with ice and drinks/food
You can cook your breakfast the morning of the 4th.
(Grill will be available if you need it)
AMMO:
200 rounds Carbine/ Rifle Minimum
200 rounds Pistol Minimum
DO NOT FORGET:
•Rappelling gloves
•Sleep system and tent unless you want to sleep on the ground then bring a ground mat/ sleeping pad.
•Notepad and pen so you can take notes.
•Food/Water/Snacks/Drinks
•Hydration pack / canteens / hydro bottles
•Black/green 100 mph tape (duct tape)
•Multi tool / Knife
