Carbine Level 2 Course Outline
Take your carbine skills to the next level in this intensive, hands-on course designed for shooters who already know the basics and want to move into advanced, practical application. Level 2 focuses on improving accuracy and speed under stress, advanced marksmanship fundamentals, transitions and movement, and real-world drills. You’ll drill dynamic shooting positions, engage multiple targets, practice controlled pairs and follow-ups, and learn to move and shoot safely while reloading and diagnosing common malfunctions. Instructors provide one-on-one coaching and progressive drills that build from deliberate precision to speed under pressure.
What you’ll learn
Refined sight alignment and trigger control for faster, more-consistent hits
Efficient magazine changes and immediate action for malfunctions
Movement and shooting: entering/leaving cover, shooting on the move, and positional shooting
Target identification, prioritization, and engaging multiple threat arrays
Shooting under stress: breathing, cadence, and accuracy at speed
Prerequisites
Completion of Carbine Level 1 (or equivalent basic carbine competency)
Familiarity with safe weapon manipulation, basic reloads, and immediate action procedures
Ability to safely perform magazine changes and basic malfunction drills
What to bring
Serviceable carbine (semi-auto) with two magazines (3+ recommended)
Minimum 250–350 rounds of ammunition (adjustable by course format)
Eye and ear protection, hat, gloves, and weather-appropriate clothing
Mag pouches, sling, and basic cleaning kit
Must be 18 years of age or older to attend any course at Panther Ridge Training Center
